then why is it in the heading?

  • Can you add 10m cables please

  • Shoppingsquare. Had plenty of trouble with them when ordering my SG3. Never again.

    • Hi justtoreply

I received it eventually. The order is in the past now.

Hint: If it's in stock, it shouldn't ship 2 weeks later.

If it's going to be delayed shipping, just be up front about it or honour requests to cancel the order. It caused a big debacle because the delay for SS to post the parcel meant it likely wouldn't have been deliverable (since the shipping address was my work address and we have forced office closures over christmas). I warned SS about this and requested a cancellation. Twice. Got ignored. I couldn't change the delivery address to my home address because I live in a high theft area, not that I was ever asked to change my shipping address anyway.

The second point to make, was that the SS invoice says time in transit can be up to 8 days. If it had taken 8 days, you would have broken the guarantee advertised on your website about pre-christmas delivery. Again, you should have cancelled the order when I requested.

To add to that, during the delay I watched prices drop around me. By the time it shipped I could have gotten the 4G version for $9 more than I paid for the 3G version. That was like rubbing salt in the wound.

    Damn another HDMI post.
Bought the mandatory 1m "just in case a friend wants it" cable !!!!!

  • just bought a 1m as well, I've got a 2m already but it's too long. :)

      That's what she said

      • No, it's what you going to say if you have to wind it up.

  • Danilochan, you have your own shoppingsquare.com.au website, why do you only make these offers available through ebay?

I wanted to buy this afternoon when the deal appeared, but as Ebay is blocked at work (as it is for many people), I was unable to.

Now that I'm home, I just tried to buy, and found that I had to either create an ebay account, or fill out all my details anyway. I tried purchasing on shoppingsquare.com.au, and the process was much faster end easier: search for "HDMI", two clicks to sort by price, click on 1m cable, click on "add to cart", click on "check out with Paypal".

Or at least the process WOULD have been easier, if you had the same prices on shoppingsquare.com.au. But you don't, and don't have free shipping either, so I aborted the purchase.

On top of that, as you have to pay a commission to ebay, you would be making MORE PROFIT by selling through your own website! (or less loss, if it is a loss leader).

Is there some hidden logic as to why you only make these deals available through ebay? Even if I had to use a coupon code, it would STILL be easier for me to use your website, and apparently more profitable for you!

I know I'm nitpicking, but the 3m cable used to be cheaper by a whopping 36 cents here:

But thanks for the HDMI cable deals, keep them coming!

    • The AUD-USD dropped from 1.04 to 0.97 recently
That affected the couple percent GPM items like this…
