    Is this still worth getting even if you've already got a 50mm prime (1.8) on a crop?

    Good price for tiny lens 2.8 and 10mm wider then 50mm makes it a little bit more wider shots then the 50mm on a cropped body,

    I own both the 50mm 1.8 and the 40mm 2.8 but find I use the 40mm more often unless low light is a real issue.

    Much better on crop body for group shots plus much better build quality and IQ as well over the nifty fifty. Plus has STM focusing if you body can utilise it. I actually took some shots last weekend with this lens and my brother in law saw the results and actually purchased this exact deal. (he doesn't have a nifty fifty to be fair but still)
