I just did my shopping at Coles and noticed the following.
$29 for prepaid starter pack
Includes $30 of prepaid credit
Bonus $0.20 off fuel per liter
I havent used Telstra for years now but I used to buy Telstra prepaid start up kits when they had deals on them and use the "Credit Me2U" or something of a similar name so I would get the credit for cheaper than a normal recharge.
Assuming you can still do it then you can do something like the following.
Buy prepaid starter kit for $29
Activate it
Use Me2U to transfer $10, $10, $9 (costs $0.25 per transfer so you cant transfer the full $30)
Fill up your car and use the $0.20 per liter docket.
Any flaws in this?
This is assuming you will be recharging your phone soon anyway.
