    Answering my own question, according to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeDyy7cp9CA H2testw 1.4 reports:

    Write: 24.2 MB/s
    Read: 31.9 MB/s

    Not the slowest but squarely in the rear of the pack of USB 3.0 devices.
