New Trent iPhone / Android external battery packs

Is there any interest around here in New Trent iPhone / Android external battery packs?

I know portable battery packs are a dime a dozen from Hong Kong, but the quality of these ones is a lot higher than the average.

Eg. they have an insane number of high ratings on Amazon…

Currently there's no option to buy these in Australia, except if you purchase on Amazon and use a freight forwarder.

I'm located in the US at the moment, close to the New Trent head office, and I've been talking with them about wholesale pricing and distribution in Australia. I'd love to be able to sell them for the same price in Australia as in the US, but that might not be possible.

So before I drop a few grand setting up a supply chain I wanted to find out a few things:

Is there even any demand for these?
How important is local warranty/support?
Would it matter if the price was higher in Aus vs. US?
Would people prefer Kogan-style international shipping with local return warranty if it lowered the cost?

I figured OzBargainers would be a good crowd to ask these questions to first. I've put together a brief 4-question survey - fill it out and tell me whether this is a good idea or whether it will fail miserably :)

I've been eyeing some of the battery packs in eBay that have a solar panel for additional charging on the road. But the panels are generally quite small, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience on these? How much charging can actually be achieved with the inbuilt solar panel? And while at it, are any of the eBay/Hong Kong packs even close to being worth it?
To OP, I personally don't care too much about warranty for anything under $100 or so. And for this sort of items that I'm not in a hurry to get, I'd usually be prepared to pay only about 10% extra for one delivered from Australia, regardless of the warranty. I do imagine there'd be demand for this sort of things, but I don't think too many average people are even aware of their existence.

  The solar panel generates very little current, not sure of the exact amount but on my Pico Freeloader with 800mah battery, it would require around 18 hours of full-on daylight to fully charge the battery.
  
  In other words: 18 hours of daylight = 2 days of charging to fill a small capacity battery like the Pico.
  
  Don't bother with solar chargers — you charge way faster off a USB port and off the mains.

I think there's a market for high quality battery pack, but the price should be competitive to direct import.

Has better output, and cheaper.
Landed around $49 USD if you buy it through their eBay store.
