Is there any interest around here in New Trent iPhone / Android external battery packs?
I know portable battery packs are a dime a dozen from Hong Kong, but the quality of these ones is a lot higher than the average.
Eg. they have an insane number of high ratings on Amazon…

Currently there's no option to buy these in Australia, except if you purchase on Amazon and use a freight forwarder.
I'm located in the US at the moment, close to the New Trent head office, and I've been talking with them about wholesale pricing and distribution in Australia. I'd love to be able to sell them for the same price in Australia as in the US, but that might not be possible.
So before I drop a few grand setting up a supply chain I wanted to find out a few things:
- Is there even any demand for these?
- How important is local warranty/support?
- Would it matter if the price was higher in Aus vs. US?
- Would people prefer Kogan-style international shipping with local return warranty if it lowered the cost?
I figured OzBargainers would be a good crowd to ask these questions to first. I've put together a brief 4-question survey - fill it out and tell me whether this is a good idea or whether it will fail miserably :)
