MELBOURNE'S AND SYDNEY'S LUNA PARK OFFER THEIR SUPPORT TO THE BUSHFIRE CRISIS

This Thursday 19th February sees both Melbourne and Sydney's Luna Parks putting up their hands to assist the many Australians affected by the bushfire crisis in Victoria. Both Parks will open specially to raise funds for victims of the Victorian Bushfires.

To lend a helping hand, Luna Park in both cities will be opening especially for a benefit evening from 5pm to 10pm this Thursday 19th February, a day that neither Park would normally open.

All Unlimited Rides Passes will be half price, single ride tickets will remain the same price and all ride sales revenue from both Parks will be donated to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Both Parks will give the TOTAL RIDES REVENUE to the cause, without deducting any costs associated with opening either Park.

On announcement of this special fund raising event, staff at both Parks have offered their own time free of charge.

So if you are looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of people affected by the disastrous fires, rally your friends together and come down to Luna Park in Melbourne or Sydney this Thursday 19 February from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm and know that you are contributing to the aid of people in need. This 'just for fun' will be for a very good cause.

  • I know there's been a lot of "bargains" related to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, but I thought this one was worthwhile posting as they are donating all the rides revenue, without deducting any costs, and staff have offered their time free of charge.

  • Good on them and half price is definitely a bargain.

  • Yeah, I have a feeling that if they advertise this well they will be packed out. Good on the staff too I say!

  • Great Bargain. I just wish they did this on a weekend so my family can go.

  • Time to relive my childhooh minus the spewing after a certain ride :(

  • im from interstate, what exactly is luna park? is it similar to wetnwild?

  • so how much does that make it on thursday? the price list is condusing. Sorry if im stupid.

    • +1

From the prices page (for the Sydney Luna Park), there appears to be different types of passes that covers unlimited entry to various rides, so the main one which is unlimited on everything (I assume) would be the "Go Wild Pass" and as it's not school holiday, you would pay the "Non Peak" prices and on Thu 19 Feb, it would be half these prices.

      Go Wild Pass
If you want hours of UNLIMITED fun, then a GO WILD pass is a great choice and offers good value. There is a FREE bonus offer with every GO WILD pass purchased.

      Go Wild Pass Non Peak
130cm and over $43 per person
      106 - 129cm $33 per person
      85 - 105cm $20 per person

      Go Silly Pass
$30 for unlimited entry to the Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Coney Island, Dodgems and the Wild Mouse PLUS a bonus offer.

      Go Easy Pass
$20 for unlimited entry to the Carousel, Ferris Wheel and Coney Island PLUS a bonus offer.

      Coney Island Pass
Unlimited entry to Coney Island for just $10!

Entry inside the Park is free.

  • thanks mate.. its a good bargain indeed

  • Very good find but I would not go. The place is usually packed with people. Who ever goes on February 19th will have to wait 2 hours for one ride. Definitely a no go.

  • Prices at Melbourne's Luna Park

A bit easier to work out.

  • nice but definately a place to avoid this thursday.
