WARNING: This game has major issues running on Windows 7 and Windows 8, primarily due to Games for Windows Live. Google about the issues before you buy this game on PC, otherwise you will likely regret it.
care to explain? I have this game and never experienced any issue playing on windows 7. Asks you to login and goes from there
The game has a crashing issue on quad-core CPUs, on computers running Windows 7 and 8. Not saying that this happens to everyone, though if you Google the issue, you will see that many people have been affected.
There is a separate issue where Games for Windows Live causes this game to crash (as well as other games that use the service, such as GTA IV, Bioshock 2 etc).
Yes, it does crash a lot i remember it happening too after the first 15 minutes, but you can google the solutions to fix it. Afterwards it almost never happens at all. There are ways to fix it and it's fairly simple.

There are many ways to fix many of the Issues with G4WL and quad cores, Search Ini tweaks fallout 3 and you can turn on threading and edit a bunch of options that make use of the extra cores.
As for the G4WL you can download a G4WL disabler that completely negates G4WL
I highly recommend this game as it is soo good, and if you have not played it on PC yet, I suggest you look at the modding scene for many great mods that can change the way you will play it to be like a new experience.
I remember I had to change a couple of settings in a config file somewhere - maybe telling Fallout not to use more than one core. But after that it was stable. Now New Vegas on the other hand…
A down vote for mentioning two very common and real issues with this games on Windows 7 / 8? Grow up people.
Never let a game manage the installation and updating of Windows Live Gaming, or whatever it's been renamed to this week. Always install the package manually and run it every so often to install updates. Regardless of OS.

Ordered this during the last sale a few weeks ago, they mistakenly sent me the (more expensive) PS3 version, I've told them but have yet to hear from them aside from them acknowledging a mistake.
part of me just wants to keep it and flog it, but that's not the REM way.
