Singapore Stopover Holidays - from $30pp Twin Share for First Night

140

Worthwhile if you are flying Singapore Airlines to add a one night stopover in Singapore before heading to your destination.

Rates start from $30AUD per person if you are a couple or $83 per night if you are flying solo. Note that this discounted rate is only for the first night. Hotels sit in different categories from A to G. A being the cheapest. We booked the Miramar Hotel which is a 4 star and sits in category C. Paying $104 for the first night for my wife and I. We are staying a few extra nights and paying a higher rate, but still cheaper than we could find elsewhere for this hotel.

This price includes:

•50% discount on the a la carte food menu, only at the designated food outlet in the passenger's hotel
•Airport-hotel-airport transfers on seat-in-coach basis.
•Free rides on SIA Hop-on Bus
•Free entry into over 15 tourist attractions (transportation to attractions is not provided)

Here is a link to the attractions:

I reckon the ones worth checking out would be:

  • Universal Studios
  • Night Safari
  • Singapore Flyer
  • Sentosa

  • Only valid if you buy ticket directly from Singapore airlines website. You can buy tickets cheaper from other places.comes around same.

    • You can buy your ticket from anywhere. Got mine from Flight Centre.

      • Yes, you can buy your airline ticket anywhere, but can you add-on the hotel bookings later directly through the Singapore Airline website?

        • yes you can. i bought my ticket from flight centre and called up Singapore Airlines to add the stopover package over the phone.

Be sure not to forget the S$40 transit voucher as well when travelling through Singapore on Singapore Airlines before 30th June too - see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90647 for more details.

Not really a bargain, singapore airfare is quite expensive compare to scoot, you might as well go for a budget airline and book the hotel separately.

And the stopover hotel rate is more expensive than if booked directly or through expedia.

      Really. Did you even check?

      Example-

      • Hotel Royal for 1 Night for 2 people with Singapore Stopover Holidays $60
      • Expedia same Hotel same date for 2 people $157 (and thats even with a 15% discount)

And you get all those attractions free as well with the Singapore Stopver Holidays.

    • if you note the first line of the post, its states that this is a worthwhile deal if you are flying Singapore Airlines. Of course Scoot or Jetstar will get you to Singapore cheaper.

  • Stopover for the 1st Night used to be FREE with a hotel stay and free airport transfer. Minimum duration for Flight Connection had to be 8 Hrs and Max Duration 24 Hrs. Both Conditions had to be met. Not sure if this has overridden the Free stay or this is for the benefit of passengers who want a Longer Stopover.
