Seems like a good price for a 27" 2560x1440 resolution monitor.

Dupe? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/84031
This has been the normal price for this item since last November.
Normal price I think and a rebranded Korean one apparently.
Pretty sure that's standard price. Still good price though
No deal. Standard pricing.
Not a "good" price, its the normal price and its an inferior product to brand name monitors which are similarly priced, so there is no bargain here. Plus its Kogan. Get the Dell's which are regularly on sale.

Can you give some examples of brand name, 27" IPS WQHD displays at a similar price?
Well?
and then?
u still looking???
lols.

Is one example i would buy over this one. They are imperfect apple monitors that didnt make the grade for sometimes the smallest of reasons. Explaining fully is beyond the scope of this site, head to whirlpool for much more info.
@thedude23 This Kogan and the Yamakasi you linked to use the same LG panel (LM270WQ1): http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/search.php?query=LM270WQ1&select…
lol, no idea eh!. Brand names are at least $200 more and that is on special or outlet price.
Nice resolution!
Here are a couple of reviews:

I've been looking at this since my pc build started. 399 is a standard and the 12ms response time is really a deal-breaker.
12ms response time is really a deal-breaker
I've seen a few people comment that they're seeing better-than-quoted response times with their display. The games.on.net review above says: "While Kogan specifies it is a 12ms delay panel, testing showed our model running at a grey to grey of closer to 6-8ms". Maybe Kogan is just trying to protect themselves from panel-to-panel variations (particularly when there's a fair chance the panel inside is B-stock which failed Apple's specifications) by providing a conservative response time figure?
Is there any benefit going for this over the Catleap or similar eBay ones which go for less inc delivery?
I recently took the plunge and got one for my MacBook Pro on eBAY FROM KOREA - SAMSUNG PLS Panel 27" matt screen (unlike Kogan's Glossy screen) - $326 delivered four days after ordering! Great screen, no dead/bright pixels, 2560x1440 resolution. External power supply, which is a plus. Resolution is comparable to the wife's iMac.
On the down side, stand is fixed with no adjustment whatsoever (I knew about this beforehand). Screen is tilting back significantly, so I'm investigating Aldi's monitor stand & TV wall bracket as alternatives - Dual Link DVI Adapter is add-on cost - an extortionate $119 from Apple. The Kogan monitor has Displayport input, so no adapter required. Be very wary of so-called " Dual Link" DVI Adapters on eBay for < $30 - They're NOT Dual Link!!
Cheaper to get a Catleap or Yamakasi, and you would then even have a fair idea of what you are getting if you do your research and shop wisely.

Catleap or Yamakasi
AFAIK it's a Yamakasi Catleap eg.

There's a few threads on Whirlpool about them. Seems to be OK for a budget monitor
Probably more risky to get a Korean monitor compared to the Kogan since you'd have to return the monitor to Korea to get a refund if there are problems. Some sellers will cover the refund cost but it's really hit and miss. If they don't, it costs >$100.
Note: I own a Shimian (bought it before the Kogan was out). If the Kogan was $400 delivered, it'd be pretty attractive.

But, "This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan HK Limited", so, you'll need to return to HK.
Interesting that Kogan's quoting an award by PC World, yet the product is sold as Presale - nobody knows how production model will perform.
Two valid points there actually. I was once researching the EOC 27" monitor for a budget option but found the review screens were not the same to the production screens (which were inferior).
If it is just a rebadge of Yamakasi and the warranty isn't local might as well head over to ebay
good price
but looks ugly compared to dell and samsung monitors
