      One requires typing, the other does not. Removing features people like and are used to is never a good idea.

        Trut is I wasn't fond of them removing it but after using windows 8 for a week u really don't miss it and learn to use the interface more efficiently. For those still hung up on a start button, wait for windows 8.1

    Great laptop and gr8 bang for buck. unrealistic to expect higher res. screen for 700$. try 1000$+ and worse specs… no thanks. Great business/sometimes gaming lappy.

  Got this same computer about 3 months ago for $679. Threw an extra 4gb DDR3 in there and she's a beaut!

      JB I think. Can't remember. It was very cheap at the time. The AMD HD7670M is a clanger though. Ubuntu hates it, Windows 8 hates it, it's a dog of a thing.

        wow u must have got a good sale. JB are usually rorts for lappys. even their sales r expensive. 7670M goes ok on mine.. been playing SimCity 5. handles it well.. spose to better card the the geforce650M from benchmark stats. End of the day if u want a system with amazing graphics for games get a Desktop.. No laptop is gona have amazing graphics card period no matter how much u spend.. Ideally get a console for games

        I just looked at the base of my computer, it seems that it is the NP350V5C-S02AU, rather than the S07AU. My bad! On looking at the specs it seemed that it was the same machine - but this one has a slightly bigger HDD and is a touch quicker.

        yep the main diff is the CPU.. newer, quicker, more effiicnt, less power consumption. plus not sure if it comes with win8

        No it didn't - but I paid 14 bucks for it in that deal where if you bought a new computer after X-date you could get Win 8 for cheap. It is possibly the worst operating system I have ever had anything to do with.
