Kogan Mobile Suspensions

"Kogan Mobile signed a suspension agreement with ispONE back in September last year, their own sworn affidavits show, approximately two months before it launched its prepaid mobile service. The Telstra reseller, ispONE says Kogan Mobile was wrong to advertise its prepaid plan as unlimited when the suspension agreement showed that users who send more than 1000 text messages, 600 multimedia messages or make more than 12 hours of calls in a single day will be flagged as an account that could potentially qualify for suspension."

Some of you have been suspended from Kogan's "unlimited" mobile plan for overuse, right? Did you get anywhere near those limits?

I think the suspension agreement seems to be pretty generous, if the quoted figure is the daily limit. More like monthly limit though. We certainly have lots of example of people having their accounts suspended from previous threads (#1, #2, #3, #4).

  • I've read most of them but the people complaining about being suspended are not specific about their usage. If the limits are at the fantastical level of those quoted above, or even 20% of those quoted figures, that means unlimited for me,I'm not going to spend more than 1 hour a day on the flippin' phone, and so I would be prepared to get Kogan unlimited.

  • Just started looking at Whirlpool on this subject -71 pages worth in the latest instalment. Enough people there swearing they are low usage but still got cut off. I will stay away from Kogan for a while.
