  It's never hard to beat the average retail price in Australia, This model HEM-7200 only seems to be available in Australia so it's hard to tell if it's good value or not in terms of finding a similar model with the same features. A glance of the OMRON BPM on Amazon.co.uk tells me that there are greater savings to be had.

  The front panel and the button looks exactly the same, what additional features does your unit have, other than (presumably) faster delivery?

      Oops, forgot to check it said US warehouse. In the past, I have purchased from their US warehouse, but shipping was $30+.

      Okay, here is the same Omron BP monitor, with free worldwide shipping, for $70.07 AUD, from T-Mart:

    Hi Russ,

    I believe the unit you referred to is the equivalent of the HEM-7200 in Australia. While there may be some differences for the Australian Market (Hence a different name), they are fundamentally the same. (We would love to sell them for $50 per unit, however, we purchase them at higher prices which means a higher selling price)

    We felt our price of $92.95 still beats the RRP by almost 40% and discount chemists known to have the cheapest price in Australia by 25% (Considering we still have to fork out shipping) is a great deal.

    Omron Australia has decided to offer a 4 year extended warranty for all Blood Pressure Monitor's as an added value and is great for people on a Private Health Fund with lower limits to purchase health care aids to get a better unit as opposed to buying an inferior unit for the same price.

  seems to be a couple differences, main thing i noticed 7200 - Detects Irregular heartbeat & Body movement indicator.

    If you have private health insurance and they cover a higher amount then there is no need to look for a cheaper one. I am with HCF and had $170 cover so was able to get an Omron 7211 for $125. Especially in your case, doctor will right a referral to buy a BP.
