Damn. need this two days ago when I bought the A7III.

This is ozbargain. We lament a lost dollar, $100 is a tragedy.

        You need ozbtherapy

        • name checks out

          • +2

@eggboi: I read the name as Web the Rapist. Better than combining both an analyst and therapist line in Arrested Development.

            • +1

@Caped Baldy: I've always read it as this. I actually think that's what it is.

      • Hehe. 3.33% I think you let go. So say you buy a house worth around $600k. Would you be happy to let go of around $20k. After all it’s like nothing really?

When it’s in bigger terms it’s scary XD

      • FFS, i'd buy a car and still want $100 off.

  • Not as good as previous 200 for 500 spend, but still good for someone cannot wait

Feel like all the good amex offers will be the glory memory… I still remember the 100 for 300 spend at Harvey Norman where I got my iPhone 7

      • I used to have 2 Amex cards and I split the payment to get total 200 statement credit.

        • +1

yeah I used 4 at that time and HN try to play up and warn me I won't get cashback

          • @fan8956: I salute you :)

      • I have an Amex simply from the free shipping from Amazon US, best bait and switch ever.

  • These offers get worse every time but better than nothing!

  • Will Sony let you split payment across two cards?

Or do they sell a gift card or something?

    • No and no

    • Parramatta store lets you do AMEX + VISA/MASTER but NO AMEX + AMEX

      • -1

What if you pretend to pay by a visa/master but then quickly produce the second Amex and BAM

      • I did amex + amex in early 2020 at Parramatta. Woman said they weren't supposed to do it, but she did it anyway. Must have gotten into trouble and stopped it for good. 🤣

"in-store at participating SONY locations or online at store.sony.com.au. Offer valid at Australian locations and website only."

  • seems like targeted offer

    • yea, either i haven't gotten it yet or it's targeted.

I guess this means they're confident there won't be PS5 stock before 15/02/2021.

Can you preorder and pay in full at Sony Stores?

  • Ahhh better than 6% cashrewards cash back a couple of days ago… Oh well :P

  • Perfect time to get a new Lens with the A6400 Body ($880 after cash back)
I am able to price match Sony E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens with DigiDirect to $704
Then using this cashback to bring it down from RRP $899 to $604

Just called the Chatswood store and they have a new policy re split payments - only one of the cards used in the split is allowed to be an Amex card. Just a heads up. So you can still access the offer if you're splitting due to credit limit issues, but not if you're trying to redeem the offer on several different cards at once.

But who knows, you might get lucky and find someone willing to ignore the new policy haha…

  • Not available on the Qantas Premium card?

    • I got it on my Qantas Ultimate

    • It is avail for me….

  • If the store can price match and allow split payment then this is a real deal.

    • yes and no. Sony limit 1 amex per purchase

  • Targeted, Not on my Amex Card.

  • With the OzB posts this morning for (briefly) avail PS5 stock with various retailers (Amazon, Big W etc) - where does the sony online store sit in the pecking order? on one hand you'd think maybe high, but on the other (prob far more realistic) pretty low given the move stock off to retailers etc first? Anyone ever seen any stock on sony store?

    • +1

not sure but after seeing everyone else having stock I have been refreshing the sony page a fair bit.
dont want a ps5 enough to pay retail, but essentially $100 off…. more then happy to take that deal.

      • Ha, I'm same boat…. no games grabbing me enough yet is the main clincher!

      • They don't even have any games or accessories either?

    • Same here.. I have this saved but with no PS5 on the online store, whats the point
