Domino's $8 Chef's Pizza Range (PICKUP)

20
09129

Was looking around for coupons and found this one. Works in QLD and apparently in SA too.
Not the best deal, it was $6 on Monday but that's expired. It's better than the (insane) regular price of $10.95.

It's Sunday, who bothers to cook on Sundays? ;)

Isn't this the normal price now in QLD? I've seen it plastered all over buses for the last 2-3 weeks.

    • That's what I thought. It advertises $8 on the front page of their site but when I got to the ordering cart it comes up as $10.95 so they probably haven't updated the ordering prices yet.

just waiting for the first comment of "i'd rather eat ________ than dominos….". we get it, get over it.

I'm a bit confused by the fact that they keep putting $8 coupon codes for this range everywhere (they're available everywhere on the web).
The whole idea - according to their CEO - of this being a 'game changer' is that suddenly they're making gourmet pizzas available for $8 (See below: he said it a zillion times in one article!). If they've put vouchers out to make them $8, then when they go to their 'normal' price then it's not going to be a game changer????? (Not that it ever was in the first place…)

"his new range of premium toppings priced at $8 was indeed a "revolution"."

"Definitely think this is a significant change, definitely think that when you can sell an $8 premium pizza with peking duck, and blue cheese, pork belly …. you tell me in Melbourne right now where you can get an $8 pizza with that on it," Mr Meij said.

"An $8 premium pizza with peking duck with pork belly, with Barossa Valley shiraz infused lamb – $8 that is different, this is significant."

""We are saying we are going to give you a loaded premium pizza for just $8 that is really changing things."

    • yeah, i was a bit confused by that as well, because the supreme gourmet was priced higher at the beginning of the campaign too…

I tried their Chef's Pizza Range for the first time when they were $6 each with the coupon from the other day.

The first thing I noticed was they were smaller than the normal pizzas. Like if you squared off the sides of a normal round pizza to make a square inside the circle. At a guess maybe 2/3 the area.

So if you take the smaller size into account, that $8 normal price becomes a ~$12 equivalent normal sized pizza.

I think the only "revolution" here is a marketing one.

It's the same thing they did with those mini pizzas (Sliders) they sell now. 4x (1/8) normal size pizzas = 1/2 a pizza, for ~1/2 price of a normal pizza.

And as always, the amount of toppings my local dominos puts on each pizza never matches the images on dominos website. Personally I think they feel like "if he's got a 25% off coupon, we'll take 25% of the toppings off to break even."

  • Everyday price yawn

  • I presume the code is nation wide, but just incase, the WA one is 79421. I'm a cheap @$$ so not for me :)
