I'm on the lookout for a 22-24" LED (or LCD?) TV with a built-in DVD player for somewhere around $150. I'm buying it for a gift - to replace a CRT TV. She not a fan of the way the cheaper DSE ones look (the thin plastic border with the stripy pattern) and she's not looking for anything as big as a 32".
I found a TV on Kogan (and it seems like everything I was after, at $149), but after asking around, people aren't very complimentary of Kogan in terms of quality, reliability or customer service. Not many people have come out in support of them. But I'm thinking they can't be too bad if people buy them.

I realise I'm looking for a budget TV, but I'd still like it to be functional for a few years. And to have a decent picture. Would taking the budget to $200 really make any difference?
I bought a 22" AWA LCD a few weeks ago for $150 and am happy with that one - unfortunately, it was clearance and there was only one left.
Unfortunately the Kogan is good value, but you will need to add postage. Sounds is very tinny on the kogans.
Another option would be a Teac.

But these are at $265 at Harvey Norman so you will need to haggle to get it down in price…
