      A few other STIs and symptoms:

      • Chlamydia - infertility and pelvic inflammatory disease
        Gonorrhea - pus pouring out of your vagina / penis and/or sores in your throat
      • Hepatitis B or C - leads to chronic liver disease, jaundice and liver cancer (sufferers advised to not consume alcohol to protect liver)
      • Syphilis (less common) - sores on vagina / penis and rashes, neurological, or cardiac symptoms
      • Herpes - majorly painful sores on vagina / penis that will flare up when stressed

      Of the above Chlamydia, Gonorrhea & Syphilis are treatable with antibiotics assuming the strain you have is not resistant. The rest will be with you for life.

      Testing may require a large swab to be inserted about 10 centimetres into your penis.

        They don't do the swab in the urethra anymore, urine samples suffice, or just a swabbing of less than 1cm
