This Just popped up on Mild Suprise,this system is still going for $1679 at The Good Guys and $1577 at Appliances online.
Not sure if it's just a temporary error but you can't add it to cart at the moment so you'll need to 'find in store' to see if your store has stock.There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of stock around so you may have to do a little extra driving if you want one..or two!
Seem like its missing the 1 before $1719. Go for it professional, but be prepare to be disappointed.

No manager will be selling it for this price, even if head office showed this price he would know its a mistake straight away.
Would the manager even get involved in the sale if you're paying 'ticket price'?
If i wanted one i'd walk in with a print out or with the page displayed on my phone and say 'one of these please'

Well, it may well not be that 'ticket price' on the actual ticket in store.
And as you need to speak to a staff member for them to sell it - you can't just pick it off the shelf to take to a cashier - there's a good chance they'll say their price and won't sell it at this price.
My point is that the ticket price is not magical, the manage won't allow it to be displayed for that as he knows its wrong.
I called up and they are honouring this price.

I called HN at North Ryde in Sydney and they know it's an error and have already got Head Office notified. If you can grab one from a store that's silly enough to let it go, then go for it.

all the large new models are 2 star as well.
They revise the star rating every few years to encourage more efficient appliances. I'm guessing they've recently revised it, so current models are a lower star then previous ones
$1000 saving buys you a lot of inefficient electricity……

springvale claims pricing error and wont honour it - same with ringwood; after i already ordered and gave cc they rang back and said couldnt do

I have been to that Harvey Norman has just sent out an email to all stores stating this is for the head unit only. No outdoor components.
Yes I just called HN Nunawading and been adviced that it's for the head unit only! Nasty surprise if you bought it and they delivered only the head unit lol

Just spoke to a fella at HN Liverpool, put me on hold for a while only to come back saying inside unit only - no outdoor unit and he quickly ended the conversation at that.
i think its just their excuse to get out of having to sell it for that price. when i first rang up there was no indication that it was the indoor only. all people i spoke to on phone knew it was the complete set and apologized later saying it was a price mix up…

Who knows with their website. Everything else points to it being a split system air conditioner and not just the head unit.

Please mark the deal as expired as no one successfully got the entire unit for the price.

False advertising
If anyone successfully purchased the unit, don't give up. Just insist they should make delivery and refuse refund. I will take this further to Fair Trading for sure. Just completed an online complaint to HN Mascot store as they refused to honour price which advised online. Had a chat online and even the online representative said they should honour the price but they didn't do it. I've collected all online photos and chat scripts as evidence. Don't give up. Can't believe HN had kept the fake advising online for 3 hrs!!!! even after they've realised they had made a error??? Totally non convinced!
goodluck. I'm done with Fair Teading or Consumer Protection whatever they are called, unless you intend to bring HN to the court otherwise don't expect any good outcome from your complaint.
3 hours is not much. especially considering this was posted approx 3.45pm on a Friday. Its not like it can be changed just like that. A few stores might advise head office and it has to go through certain ppl and webmaster or whatever they're called etc.
Not defending HN if it was false advertising (I was too late to see the page, now only says page not found).
Also, unless it clearly stated Head only, this is pretty bad from from HN. Very few people sell Head only and if they do, its clearly stated.

Just a quick note to thank the OP - I landed two of these airconditioners for $700 each delivered. Got delivered today, both wall unit and compressors.

HN at Gordon. They've delivered today, but one of the compressors is for the next model up, so they have to come back and swap it out for the right one. Confirmed with them about number of boxes for the system (2) with two different people. And the salesgirl also included delivery for me whilst knocking the price down to $700 instead of $719. I'm pretty stoked at the moment.
