Window / Vido N90 Quad Core RK 3188 tablet

Hi I was looking at getting a new tablet and came across this.

The specs looks awesome and the price is not too bad.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with a Window tablet. How good are they generally in terms of build quality etc…
Also is there something I should be looking at besides the hardware while buying a tablet.

I read somewhere that with some Chinese tablets you cannot install some apps and there are some stubborn Chinese characters/ features difficult to remove. I agree these are a small price to pay for the greatly smaller price.

Can those who have bought Chinese tablets before please share your experience. Thanks.

    Because most Chinese tablet makers now sell to the English speaking market they will most definitely be using English ROMS with proper Google Play support. When my Cube tablet arrived it was already a fairly stock Android experience out of the box.

    I did however chose to root the tablet so I could load a different custom ROM and remove some of the bloatware. If you know how to read technical instructions you could do the same and possibly improve the performance of the software but this is not essential.

      Thanks for your comment. Yeah I suppose I could root the tablet.. dont know how to do it yet…. will probably have to look into it… for now just have to buy it and hope there is no problem with the hardware :)

    We have a very similar tablet available, called the Portal HD. It has RK3188, a 9.7 inch screen, and that amazing 2048x1536 resolution. We've found the screen and fonts on it look AMAZING. And a lot of apps are actually optimised for such a high res surprisingly. It's just $249.
