AirAsia multiple AU -> Malaysia routes discounted

120

AirAsia have discounted the normal international routes (all cost for one way) advertised as follows:

  • Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur: $299 (though I can see $199)
  • Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur: $299 (though I can see $249)
  • Perth to Kuala Lumpur: Unadvertised (though I can see $99)

I haven't got an email yet, I'm just judging it by a combination of Air Asia's website and http://adioso.com. Though the ad seems to be wrong cos I can see real, bookable flights cheaper than the ad.

Good luck!

  • come tuesday they are having a "Free Seats Sale" aka- $150 from MEL/OOL-Kul etc…across the entire AirAsia network

Could be to go to London for less than $800 return…

  • The Perth flight combined with the Tiger Airways flight Adelaide to Perth for $25 would mean $125 from Adelaide too… There's so many cheap flights around lately that it's hard to tell what real deals are ^_^

  • I was able to grab several seats from the previous free seats sale and scored Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur return flights for $245 inc tax per person. I mean, that's just wrong! :) I also scored accommodation at a new hotel in the city for around $10 per room (for a double with ensuite) per night. I mean, that's not just wrong, that's robbery! :)

    • Nice score! Which hotel is it?

  • Hehe, yeah, last $150 MEL->KUL sale, I scored $300 return per-person MEL-KUL, then picked up ~$700 return to KUL-Standsted (London) at the same time. Return tix to London for $1000! (albeit, MEL-LON has dropped since then, so not as good as it was then, but still pretty good!)

  • Excellent. Scored Mel —> K.L for $320 return last time this sale was on :)

  • Remember, if trying to book the Australia - KL return tickets, book the return leg from the Malaysian website and pay in RM. It can work out cheaper, check the exchange rate of course.
