Hybrid Bike Wanted in Melbourne Area

Hi all,

I will arrive in Melbourne in about a week or so and I'd like to get a hybrid (road/racer mix). However, as I'll only use it for perhaps 6 months or so, I don't want to spend a lot.

Anyone able to recommend a good place for second-hand bikes in the Melbourne area? I'd rather spend money on a quality used bike than a cheap new one. I've checked out Gumtree but can't see anything.

    Id try eBay. Look around there long enough and you can even make a profit when selling it (if you are selling it back in 6 months time).

    Looks like it will be an option.

    However, I'd like a shop wherein I can examine what I want and give it a test ride.
