Lord of The Rings Extended Edition Blu-Ray (Region B) with DVD Extras (REGION 4)

Hi all,

Lots of posts on OzBargain for British versions and the like, and while the Bluray discs are Region B (compatible with Australian zoned players), the British extras DVDs are Region 2 (not Region 4) and therefore not playable on quite a lot of Australian players.

I've found the Australian version at JBHifi for $115, and at wowHD.com.au for $119.95.
So far.

Lots of people on Ebay seem to be selling an "australian" version which is actually the british version (because they have region 2 dvd discs). The only other country on the planet that shares both Bluray and DVD regions is NZ.

Anyone else out there spotted anything cheaper?

    i'd rather get a multi-region dvd player than spending money on region 4 dvds.

    Yeah, of course. But I'd rather just use the same DVD/Bluray player that I'm using at the moment… and not have to worry about region free player purchases in the year(s) ahead.
    I'm using a PS3 as my bluray player, and it brilliantly upscales DVD content.
