So what is the Belkin ScreenCast?
The Belkin ScreenCast is a 2 piece kit. The first is a Wireless HDMI receiver which you plug in to the back of your TV or monitor. The second piece is a wireless hub which allows you to plug in up to 4 HDMI devices, the signal is then wirelessly transferred back to your HDMI receiver and played on your TV!

The ScreenCast AV4 Wireless AV-to-HDTV Adapter is a great way to create a clean, elegant entertainment environment, with no need for a professional installer, no need to run cables through walls. It’s ideal for Wall-Mounted HDTVs, and allows you to store your devices up to 30m* away, even in another room.

High Quality Picture and Sound
Enjoy full-HD 1080p resolution, 3D video, and up to 5.1 channels of surround sound. † It’s perfect for enjoying high-resolution movies and games in a seamless entertainment experience, without the tangle of wires that often accompany high performance devices.

Total Control
The IR Blaster gives you total device control. Just point your remote at the TV, and ScreenCast does the rest.

*Distances will vary depending on audio/video equipment on TV and PC.
†Actual output may depend on audio/video equipment on TV and PC.

Absolute bargain, best i've seen was about $130 weeks back.

      Thanks for the praise Foxtail!

  • Work with Mystar HD?

    • Hi Twisty, this works with any HDMI device. As it only carries the video and audio signals it shouldn't have any problems with your Mystar HD - provided it has a HDMI output of course :)

  • this is not Miracast is it?

    • Hi jasecs,
From a quick read on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracast) it does appear to be similar technology except you need the output device physically plugged into the Belkin wireless hub.

  • website isn't loading…

    • hi alexme,
sorry about that :S our website does appear to be uber slow at the moment. I've already raised this with the hosting provider and it should be fixed soon.

      Hi Alex,
      All fixed.

HDMI wireless is not guaranteed to work in all situations, depends on device/display distance, how many walls it needs to pass etc.. This Belkin unit is one of the better ones.

    • Correct, they do advertise a 30m range but walls will decrease this slightly.

  • I think its about 8m thru walls.

    • Depends on the wall Foxtail. A gyprock wall barely decreases signal strength where as a brick wall greatly decreases the signal strength.

  • Website down?

    • Hi Wallyt99, all fixed now!

  • How's the lag on something like this? Could you use it for games?

I've successfully used the wireless controller before in another room with a very long HDMI cable. Wonder if this would be a decent substitute.

    • Ah nevermind. It's a single receiver and not a splitter/switch. I thought I might be able to switch my consoles access inbetween different televisions in different rooms. Bugger.

  • what frequency?

  • Great deal, have been meaning to get one of these for some time.

  • Remove double post please

    • Sorry Davidmc, what double post??

      • He made the same comment twice and then edited the second one (see above)

  • Does this do this - Example - Mystar HD HDMI OUT to This box so I can then watch paytv in another room, can I still then watch paytv in the room the mystar box is in? So that would mean the Mystar box has a HDMI cable coming out of it to this box, then another HDMI cable going into my TV

    Does it do this?

      Hi Twisty,
Directly - no. You can purchase an additional product like a HDMI splitter and with this watch the SAME CHANNEL in 2 rooms at once. This solution will not allow you to watch different channels at the same time though.

      • Nah I didnt want to watch 2 different chans at once, would be nice but I know you cant but I would have thought I could watch the same channel on both TVs

This is a big drawback for me :(

        • Sorry Twisty, buy the HDMI splitter and you can though!! :)

      • Do you sell these splitters?

        • I could order one in for you. How many ports do you want? 1 input, how many outputs?

        • What are the costs? It would be nice to be able to watch it on upto 4 tv's at once.

You had me until $30 shipping to Perth. Still cheap but not quite an impulse buy. And I have brick walls in the way too :(

    • I get $37 to Perth. That's a bloody joke. Staticice has a bunch of places selling for $115 with much cheaper postage. This one is for the local pickup crowd only.

  • I use mine with Foxtel (need an active HDMI splitter).
My question is can you have one transmitter and two receivers?

  • Hi, cannot checkout…
    keep getting:

    • Hi CBR,
This problem has been resolved already. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

      • Nothing happening when clicking on Checkout or Checkout with Paypal for me… Tried IE + Firefox!

Noticed it is also saying "Log In" when I'm at the cart screen.

        • Same for me :(

        • How can they not see that there's no orders going through…?

        • Hi guys,

Our website has been giving us dramas over the last few days.. If you can not order via the website please order via email or over the phone, we are working on fixing the online ordering issues but when ever we fix it, it works for a few hours then some other PHP related fault arises! :(

  • Is it possible to run two sets of these in the same house or will they interfere with each other?
