Congraz for winning the race. It would be great if you could add the expiry date in description.

    Thanks for sharing nonetheless =)

Edited: It's expiring today in VIC

  • Works at QLD - Brisbane (AMF store)

Tried a Chef's best pizza last week and not very impressed. Too much crust not enough filling. Appears to be smaller than the regular ones. Nice for a change but not worth the premium. Should remain at this price if they don't make any changes.

    • +1

yep, stick with traditionals guys, better value at even $2 more than this.

      • +3

The traditionals are much more oily - my experience so far is while the "Chef's Best" aren't exactly pizzeria quality (hardly surprising when they cost so much less), they're the first "fast food" pizzas I've had which lack the excessive greasiness.

        • +1

          true

i tried one the other day

tiny as hell (The box is like 60% traditionals size

          6 squre slices only

but the dough felt different. It was the thick hard type you get from woolies and not the airy oily type from traditional

i prefer airy but this was a nice change i guess

topping wise you could easily replicate by swapping toppings on a traditional

so save your money and get a traditional instead

    • +2

Yeah new name but same crap taste.

    • +1

The duck and blue cheese on is quite nice. I thought the lamb shank one was pretty average, but I do appreciate that they're a bit less greasy.

  • Works in brisbane - yeronga…. I dig the duck :)

  • +1

Tried 3 random stores in WA,all working.

    • +3

Cheeky bastards, the email I got is $7 each, today only. Typical WA tax.

  • FYI, I live in Brisbane and I got the email as well..

  • +3

I just got a similar email but mine said $7 each, dominos tries to trick me?

    • Ditto — my store is the Cheltenham (VIC) one

    • I've placed an order for tonight and got charged $6. Picking up at VIC 3192.

    • maybe Dominos is trying to find a pricepoint where people will buy at

      • +2

        and we're their guinea pigs?

        • +1

          and we're their guinea pigs?

ha ha , we are smarter, more like rhesus monkeys instead of dumb guinea pigs
Now Domino's would know way more people buy @ 6$

  • +1

Never eating Dominos crap again make me so sick. No wonder its $6. Remember the golden rule you pay for quality

    • +4

      No wonder you got sick:
Out of more than 160 Domino's Pizza shops across the state, 31 collected 50 penalty notices worth $37,180 for food infringements, including failure to control pests, using food past its expiry date and using dirty equipment.

      • +5

In my experience Domino's have been pretty good at controlling pests.
They just wait for them to crawl onto the pizza base and then trap them in melted cheese.

        • mmm crunchy

        • +1

          extra protein

        • Now you've put me off the olives. :(

A chef is a person who cooks professionally for other people. Traditionally it refers to a highly skilled professional cook who is proficient in all aspects of food preparation.

Yeah.. I don't think so Dominos.

    • +3

After KFC started boasting about how there was a chef in every store I started to loosen my definition of chef.

    • in australia to be a 'chef' you have to be formally educated e.g - food hospilatily certificate through department of education approved facility like tafe. a cook is unqualified. there are regulations in regards to restaurants staff and a cook is not allowed to just call themself a chef or a sous chef or a head chef without formally qualifying for such

  • +1

It's a game changer! But seriously I don't think the Chef's Best pizzas are that bad. Value-wise if C'sBs and Traddies are the same price I'd go the C'sB. I just wouldn't pay extra. But then this is OzBargain so duh. BTW the vego C'sB pizza - onion + seasoned chicken tastes great. For $6 it's a bloody good lunch.

These new Chef's Worst pizza's make this happen to me:

Big THANKS, was just going out to get a lunch :)

  • +1

I tried their Chef's Selection, those were really good! Thought I would give these (Chef's Best) a go after they got rid of the Selection. Tried 2 of them, they was crap. Value range pizza tasted better… No joke.

    • +1

Thats what i also thought when trying the chefs best, and let Dominos know about it, they offered another chefs best free of charge next time i order. They also advised it will be better next time.

      • How did you let them know (i.e. did you call them up or what)?

        • Ordered the pizza online, picked up pizza, got shocked at the poor pizza, went back to computer to find the Dominos website still open with a leave feedback or comments form, so I filled this out and let them know how bad the pizza was. They called me up 20 mins later and asked what the problem was, then offered a free Chefs best, but that was over a month ago, and i have not bothered to claim the free pizza, as a new one is not going to be any better by many comments on OZB.

Like you username, you going to give it a go?

        • Interesting — I did the same thing, but never heard from the store! I wrote on their Facebook wall but they just gave me some free lame excuses.

i have not bothered to claim the free pizza, as a new one is not going to be any better by many comments on OZB

Fair enough… If that's the case, could I possibly have your voucher; I'm still sore about the 3x that I wasted my money on! :Þ

        • Im surprised that the feedback i gave them warranted them giving a free chefs best pizza.

The free chefs best is only valid at the store it was originally purchased at in Sydney.

        • Ah I see – no worries! :)

I feel ripped off living in WA :(

    • -1

I take it back, just ordered at Thornlie and only costed $6 :D, I'm happy

  • +2

Everyone hates on the chef range but IMO they are pretty good.

    • Better than normal Dominos, not as good as a normal pizza place, thats my 2c

    • Thanks! Original code didn't work.

  • The original code not working for Wentworthville but the one above does- $7- 53213

  • Original code not accepted Sunnybank QLD 4109. New $7 code does.

  • Code does not work.. Glebe NSW

  • Didn't work in West Lakes SA either, used the 53213 $7 on here okay though.

  • works in brisbane woolloongabba. Just had their duck/blue cheese. Had 5 tiny pieces of duck on the whole pizza. Had the smell of blue cheese but not the taste. The whole thing was just greasy. I'm definately not eating that again..

    • I just had the same pizza, only I removed the blue cheese and added camembert. Had lots of duck so I must've had your share.

GF had the chicken and cranberry, was actually pretty good

EDIT: Westridge QLD worked as usual

  • Dominos. It's a lame changer

I haven't had dominos for ages but thought I would give it a go with this deal. ($7 in WA).

I usually get pizza at a small family type joint and thought the new chef's ranges compared really well apart from a couple of minor issues. Those being the base having a nasty domino's sickening taste to it, the toppings where really shit quality and the sauce tasted like crap.

So apart from the base, toppings and sauce the new Chef's best range pizzas are awesome especially the fancy new box.

  • +2

    Ate the chef's best
    Went to the toilet
    And got a curry surprise

    • Yep, they really mess your bowels up compared to normal pizzas. I wonder if its the camembert.

Instead of calories, they should rank the new pizzas by how disgusting your next poo is.

  • My local domino's won't be getting my business anymore. I tried the chef range at $6 and even at that price it isn't worth it. Pizza hut you can find codes to get the legend range for $6.95 or less and its a vastly superior pizza to anything domino's sell, well that is in my neck of the woods. If you have a decent local store than it might well be different. Used to like domino's and they used to make an okay product, now the quality gone down, competition is better, and price is higher the competition seemed to have jumped in front. :)

  • +1

yep Domino's jumped the shark with this game changer
