pretty clearly a pricing error so I wouldn't be holding your breathe waiting for this one

  • Pricing error. Will not be honoured.

  • +4

probably left off a digit or two

  • Shipping is only $7.00. But yeah not point ordering it wont come. I don't even think Dell would honour this.

  • +7

    Worth a try?? :-)

    • +4

Yep, unless they do a 'Harvey Norman' with your money..

  • +1

    Thx OP… Got a M size!

  • I'd buy it just for the components!

  • I 'got' an 'M' as well :/

  • THanks! for 29.95+7 shipping definitely worth a try. Paid via paypal :)

    • Free $79 dynamic bike fit and free $49 post-purchase professional service on every bike purchased

lol gifts are more expensive than the bike

  • Silly questions perhaps but could this be ok for a female and would the bike be assembled?

    • I can't see why not as long as you check the size that would suit you best. The bike is probably partly assembled so I guess there are still few bits and pieces to assemble.good luck

Ice block in hell of getting one… I think the real price should be around $2500 ish??

A man walks into a pub and goes up to the bar and asks for a beer.

“Certainly, sir, that'll be 1 cent.”

    “One cent?!” exclaims the man.

    The bartender replies, “Yes.”

So the man looks at the menu and asks, “Could I have a nice juicy T-bone steak, with chips?”

“Certainly sir, that's 4 cents,” the bartender replied.

“Four cents?!” says the man. “Where's the guy who owns this place?”

The bartender replies “He's upstairs with my wife!”

The man says, “What's he doing upstairs with your wife?”

The bartender replies, “The same thing I'm doing to his business!”

i just cant bring myself to put in an order - part of me says "why bother they wont honour it" the other part of me says "would not feel good about myself if they did"

clearly I need to spend more time on ozbargain to become more professional…

    • +2

I feel the exact same way! I know for a fact that this bike is $2,000-3,000, but what if they miraculously honoured it?!

    • +5

Not at all dr_r: professionals recognise a waste of their time when they see it. If I see even one of these type of deals get honoured maybe I'll change my stance, but until then…

  • +2

Yeah I can't + this one. Experience has shown me these obvious pricing errors get canned every time. Not worth the effort on either party's behalf.

  • +11

To save the company a lot of apologies perhaps contact them OP and point out what is pretty clearly a price error.

After all - it's about bargains not mistakes.

  • Years ago a NZ IBM dealer had a price error on laptops, a big error! and they ended up honoring it. Chances of getting this one… zilch.
Their T&C gives them the way out, they would be mad not to have such a clause for online sales.

  • price error

  • confirmed, called their store who said it wont be honoured

    • fair enough

  • +1

just hope they refund the cash if (when?) they don't honour the deal

    • +9

If they're a moderate sized business with a separated warehouse operation and poor internal processes, its entirely possible.

      • +19

Indeed. Exactly the same reason people should NOT call a company and ask them about it (You take your chance, worst case they give you a refund). Bringing their attention to it guarantees that person will not get it and likely kills all others others orders (not helping any other OzB's). Plenty of warehouses just pick and ship from order slips.

        • How would you feel if it was your business?

        • +2

          Embarrassed

        • +3

I would feel pretty poor after honouring all the orders.

        • -1

          haey erus.

        • Very clever.

        • +7

@abacus I think you've missed the point of my comment. It's the responsibility of the staff to address pricing problems NOT customers. The store has their clause (because they have forseen such situations) and they can take the action they are are entitled to. No one is forcing the store do sell the item for the price shown and customers aren't doing anything wrong by entering the transaction and spending their money.

        • +4

If you can't see it's morally wrong then there's nothing more to say. If you want to know if something is wrong, pretend it's happening to you and see how you feel. At the end of the day you are hoping the mistake won't get picked up and you will get a $3K bike for free at the expense of the company.

        • +2

while they are eating sushi and snorting coke off $2000 a nite hookers…. im not sure they will notice…….

and while the average successful business person pays little to no tax each year…….. ill sleep just fine….. thanks anyway……

        • +3

If I had an online business I would be making very sure that the prices quoted are correct.

This "error" would have increased their site traffic by how much??

For something they do not have to honor it sure has it's side benefits??

If you are selling items valued in the thousands wouldn't you be taking extra care to confirm accurate pricing? If you didn't then you would deserve the outcome.

        • +3

the fact is that they dont really care caus they dont have to honor any sale… which in turn means they can pay peanuts and hire monkeys rather than have to pay the extra to hire competent stuff and/or have competent web stores which would alert them if you discounted a $3xxx product down to $xx with secondary/manager sign off to such a massive discount etc…. or have high traffic alerts, and pay someone to take notice of the high traffic alerts..

which in the end, gives them more money to blow on hookers and coke, and more time to themselves while the monkeys ruin there businesses…. while there all to high on beluga caviar to care…..

  • Just got "Order Acknowledgement" this morning, anyone else ?

    • i got mine when i ordered sunday morning. i paid paypal so payment was instant, did you pay with credit card?

      • Paypal as well.

  • +5

A dishonest email acknowledgement. I really want to reply them: I don't want a refund, I can wait until you have the actual stock

    • +1

That might be another 500 years.. until they have the actual stock ;-)

      • +3

i told them not to refund and ill wait till they have stock or ill accept a replacement product

        lol

        • what was their reply?

          lol

        • I did the same thing and they told me that the model of bike has been discontinued and they weren't getting any more…
Cmon, just say you made a pricing mistake!

        • +2

well if they restock it soon , lets all complain to fair trading
As long as we keep email proof

  • +3

why can't they be just honest and admit it was a pricing error?

    • +1

      Ironic comment indeed.

  • -1

Same email this morning! :( total disappointment! I ordered 2 pcs LOL

  • +2

I'll accept any similar product they have in stock.
