Nice, I've been hanging out for Torment to drop!

12 hours let to back the new Torment game on Kicktarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/torment-tides-of-…

    • I'm so excited about the upcoming Torment!
So glad they hit the stretch goal for Chris Avellone :D

I've also been hanging out for Planescape: Torment. This deal is awesome.

All of the games listed above are good bar "FORGOTTEN REALMS: DEMON STONE", which is consolized trash.

The ToEE engine had a lot of potential but it was never exploited or followed up on :( I liked playing it through but it isn't epic like the Baldur's Gate, Planescape and Icewind Dale games.

Dragonshard is an RTS - I played the first few missions.

  • Some really great games here if you can bear low resolution 2D.

Keep in mind BG has been remastered recently, and BG2 is in the works.

    • There are mods you can get for the Infinity engine games (BG, BG2, IWD, IWD2, PS:T) to set the screen resolution higher. Once you do that they look really good again.

The problem if you do that is that everything looks tiny, and your dudes are the size of a snot ball.

        • I played through BG recently at high resolution and it's really not that bad.

Thank you for the heads up on the mods. I noticed on the 'Torment: Tides of Numenera' tumblr page they have a few details, specifically down the bottom of the page: **Planescape: Torment Resolution/Modding Guide **

        http://tormentrpg.tumblr.com/links

They specifically not that the GOG version is fully compatible with their high-res guide.

    • Also be aware the remastered BG is (was?) as buggy as hell and won't play on Intel HD graphics at all. I was so cheesed off.

    • As mentioned these games actually look very good for their age. The hand drawn art in the infinity games really holds up well, and community patches help.
