Ultrabook WANTED Budget $1000

Hi Guys,
I just need some advice. So please don't go off at me saying I must be crazy if I want all this and that for under a grand.

I am after three main features (thats a must)

  1. Has to be a Ultra book (3rd Generation i5 or i7)
  2. SSD
  3. Touch screen (13-15")

now should I just spend $1400 and get a macbook air ?

or the Lenovo Carbon X touch screen which is (>$1500)

but I only have a $1000 maximum to spend, I ideally want to spend $800

And I am ready to wait for a good sale (Lenovo 30% off, Apple 15% off etc.)

    Leading ultrabooks are the Mac Air, Asus Zenbook and Dell XPS. all are $1300+

    Sounds like you're going to need to wait for a big sale.

    You put in bold that touch screen is a must then ask if you should get a macbook air? Then you say you only have 1k maximum to spend then ask yourself if you should just spend $1400+?

      Is B&H good for computers? I get a lot of my photog gear from there but I didnt think they were very good for laptops.

      hey ozhunter, i meant to say if its not possible in the price range i am after, should i just squeeze bit more and get mac book air, i know it doesn't have touch.
