I remember I read something about it on Whirlpool but I just can't find it — so let me try to ask the experts here :)
The story is. I recently bought a Nokia phone with built in GPS and Nokia Mapping software, which has an expensive navigation subscription add-on. Now I am willing to pay for a separate GPS navigation software suitable for my Nokia S60 phone, so I hit eBay…
Search for "nokia gps software" on eBay Australia…
… and there are lots of them with voice navigation and latest Australian map, at around $30-$40 AUD range with free delivery, i.e. much cheaper than "proper" alternatives like Route66 or Garmin Mobile XT. Well, that would definitely ring the alarm bell:
- No brand. No title for the actual software so there's no way I can find independent research on these products.
- All the feedbacks to the seller shown as "private" for the products. WTF is that?
Anyone has experience with those GPS navigation software on eBay?
They sell hacked version (Read: pirated). If you dont mind about that, you can do bit of research to get the same free from net. I think garmin legal one is about 99$.
