I can't find any affordable car holders for the Nexus 4 that don't look like they are useless. I have a generic fits-allish one and it is really no good at all (hard to get in/out, bits fall off all the time).
So what I want is:

This is a good idea, but of the two cars one I don't want to stick things to and the other doesn't have an appropriate surface. I am considering fabricating a bracket which can velcro to the dash and provide velcro for the phone.

I have the owlpad. I can't recommend it - heating issues.
1: No release information or cost.
2: Not designed for this phone, looks like the RFID doesn't work in the dock location.
3: Looks like the phone will fall out when horizontal.

Blue Tak on the car window works like a treat.
I really can't see this phone staying up like that. Also the window is on a high angle, which would be very annoying (and far away).

I got 2 velcro dots on the back of my phone case..and 3 velcro on the dash…make sure u have the soft part of the velcro attached to your phone and the hard part (hooks) on the dash…works great…
