Need a New Camera up to $300

  You might want to list a few features that are your priorities to narrow it down.

  I currently favour Canon DSLR's. I paid just over $300 for my 650D last year so would imagine you can get a lot better deals on the it and other lower and/or older models now.

  My other camera is a Panasonic Lumix waterproof one (paid about $170 for it - FT10 I think, have also had the old model FT1 which was great) - which I use for the beach, pool and park with the kids. I also use it as my main movie-taking camera as it does great video. Of course the photos aren't as good as the Canon, but they are fine when you are out in the bright sunshine. The biggest advantage of this camera is the amount of abuse it can take - I never have to worry about it.

      Not sure where you could even get one used for that price- new is still going for around the ~$500-550 range for just the body
