The single lens kit is $479, which is a good deal. I went this route and bought more of an
all rounder lens instead.

this is a very good deal IMO, I've been looking for a decent entry level DSLR, it'll be either this one (Nikon D5200) or Canon 700D. Preferred Sony but they haven't upgraded A65 yet,and A58 is just not as good as these two.
