We're off to the GC soon and it's looking like hiring a car is the best way to get around.
Fly into Bris & going down to GC.
Can anyone recommend any deals for 7 days? We were looking at a small car

The prices are very reasonable. Is this the cheapest in Brisbane? Are there alternatives?
Is paying LIABILTY REDUCTION WAIVER (LRW) worth it?
$106 for 4 days with LRW VS $160 with LRW.
Well. It's a bit like insurance and that depends on your driving experience. I didn't pay for mine when they offered.
If you don't pay the LRW and the car is damaged (even if it is not your fault, eg. rear-ended) you will need to pay the full estimated amount for repairs. You may be able to get this money back from the other drivers insurance company but it can take some work.
Sure, most people are not having accidents every day but you will be driving an unfamiliar car. Car repairs are often in the thousands of dollars and even if you can afford to pay the money is it really worth the hassle of haggling with another persons insurance company for months to get it back?
My folks live on the Gold Coast and every time we visit them I rented cars from Cut Price Car Rental. Went there in January and ended up getting a current model Tarago for ~$45/day for 7 days. We booked the previous model but I guess they did not have a free car so ended up upgrading us.
Also booked an old Kia Rio (07-11 model) for ~$30.25/day for 6 days with them last July.
