Is it me or are all lightning cables on eBay shit?
Here I'm on a holiday and the second cable in less than 2 months just died..
I read its the same for the ones sold by kogan?
$2 ain't bad, but they die once a month, it adds up
Anyone else have similar complaints?
I purchased one from eBay and lost money as it stopped working within weeks, contacted the supplier but no response.
Bought another from Kogan, didn't last a month, but luckily they are sending me another one as Kogan gives one year warranty.

Actually, I had one of my eBay cables replaced for free, and they didn't even ask for the faulty one back. Was impressed.
Shopping Square I have not tried to return yet, not sure what they are like to deal with.
Go read reviews on Apple site where you buy the "genuine" cable for $25, loads of complaints that their cables are not much better.
I had a couple of the cheapo cables fail, and each time it seemed to be due to the flexing of the cable at the connector. I've tried "modifying" the cables by using some Sugru to strengthen and stiffen the cable as it enters the connectors. Seems to have worked fine so far.
I had no luck either. Purchased 2 cables and 2 adapters from a Shopping Square deal and all have failed. Was my first purchase off SS, I just assumed they were dodgy operators and I lost my money.
All up bought 10 items now (SS and eBay), 7 have failed.
