Just saw this on the online store, even though it is still priced at $379 in the description it says it will be $299 until Monday (I assume it's an in-store sale starting tomorrow). This deal starts tomorrow when stores
will re-open and I assume will also be available online from tomorrow.

Although I'm not a huge fan of the blue colour, this is a pretty good deal for a 500gb console with two controllers. These consoles are exclusive to JB (in Australia) and EB sells the red one for $399 with Tomb Raider so this is the cheapest available.

    the way i see it:

    God of war deal sell controller and game for avg 60 each brings you to $207. than buy a matching white non-legit controller on ebay for $20 = $227.

    pos its cheap, white colour looks better than blue or black imo
    negs being potential warranty issues, extra effort selling stuff,and you have to wait for it to arrive

    azurite blue deal sell one of the controllers for $40 so it costs $261.

    pos its still cheaper than paying $248 for 12gb. you get aussie warranty which probably helps if you want to sell it later. and you dont need a converter for power. and you can go and pick one up on the weekend. less effort.

    negs blue doesnt look as good. costs more.

          It's not the graphic on the controller but the build quality of it. I've tried countless knock off controllers and none come anywhere close to a genuine Sony one.

          hmmm. fair enough. so if you buy a genuine controller for the god of war deal vs sell one of your controller with the jb hifi deal you end up pretty much at the same price right?

          jb hifi deal looking pretty good then.

    Good deal. Sell the extra controller and this is like $250 for a 500GB PS3 console…but I am waiting on the Wii U to drop to sub $250 (premium version).

      I agree, why buy a device that is at its end of life? You can get a new one that is just beginning! Plus you can play FPS' that are much more intuitive with motion controls.

        personally ive always owned 360's. the ps3 has a number of exclusives im very excited to play (uncharted series, last of us, resistance, heavy rain) AND almost the biggest reason i want to play gta 5 when its released.

        Dont you get it? end of life cycle maybe but you can bet there will be more upcoming 3rd party A++ titles coming on ps3 and 360 BUT for wii u.

      Battlefield 4, Saints row 4, gta 5 are all confirmed to be skipping wiiu, really isn't looking like a great investment unless your a die hard fanboy. Not to mention games like ZombiU only sold 450k world wide

          Blue. Price matched the EB deal at JB because I had gift cards. So in reality, it did only cost me $299 (less 5% cash back) with Tomb Raider.

          But it's just good in general to see this coming under $300 with 2 controllers.

    This is cheap, Ps3 is very good already, don't really see the point of the ps4, just better hardware, also pointless if 3rd party's can't utilise there hardware to full compatability.

      This is a good deal but not a crazy good deal. If you know what games you want to play, and you really want to play them now, buy the console. If you don't, maybe you should first do some research, decide what games you want, or if you want to play video games at all.

        Thanks for the advice. I got one from Jb-hifi yesterday and got Need for speed most wanted game. I'm enjoying and yes the price have gone up by $80 today so happy with the deal.

        Any suggestion to buy cheaper games other than EB games or Jb-hifi?
