Surely this can't be a smash'n'grab sale as Centrecom have such a great reputation for honesty and integrity….cough, cough, splutter and die.

edit1 wow, their sale beats MSY's everyday prices by $1 on the items I checked. What deep pockets these guys have.

edit2 How about showing the BUY price for all the notebooks instead of AFTER CASHBACK price. That's not what we would pay at the checkout. Zzzzzz @ CentreCON, again.

Are they really that bad? I haven't read anything bad about them in the other forums. They are quite a large player in the laptop space - much larger than MSY in fact.

Well, yes. They got in the Penalty Box here for a while for sock-puppeting. Cough Cough.

MSY have had issues, but I have personally never felt 'scammed' by MSY. CentreCon on the other hand have a bag of common tricks, such as I already mentioned showing the 'after-cashback' price only and not the checkout price. Other vendors show both as it is mischievous to do otherwise. Also consider the inflation of 'original' or 'RRP' prices that no one really sells at, nor was it ever sold at CentreCon at that price. Or the advertising of prices on their website that do not say 'website only price' but when you go in-store the price is higher and you have to evidence their website price to get it (at which point they just claim ignorance and blame head office).

Stick your hand in their bag and you will find another old trick that many other businesses have grown out of, as its all about transparency of pricing in these competitive days, not just stating inflated original prices and beating MSY etc by $1.

And don't get me started about the staff members who pretend to be satisfied customers on their ads…the least they could do if they couldn't find any real happy customers was use fresh faces who wouldn't serve you the next time you went in-store.

Centrecom tested going head-to-head with MSY (I believe) by opening PCWS in the Clayton estate where MSY's head office and principle Victorian store is - guess who is still open and who is now closed? Clue : http://www.pcws.com.au

I hear quite a few people having issues with them over the years. Me my self never had much of a problem with them but I don't shop computer parts that often.

mate don't listen to these idiot. There criticism usually comes abt by them trying to eek out something for nothing and when it doesn't eventuate they end up have a moan about how 'misleading' they are. Im no advocate for centrecom by no means but I can honestly say when I have purchased from them I have never been disappointed.

        • wowowowo watch your typing, first bitch and now idiot? wow, what is you about with centrecom, calm down bitch?
