What's currently the best Ultrabook out there under $1500. I've been checking out reviews but there's a lot of them. Any personal experiences and suggestions would be appreciated. Obviously looking for 3rd gen i5 or i7, 4 or 8GB ram, 128 or 256GB ssd, 1600x900 or FHD screen, usb3, win8. etc etc. Hope you can help. Cheers.
Best Ultrabook under $1500?

Does it include other taxes when importing? because its over $1000?
Yes it does, however I just checked the prices on the Sony site, and looks like they upgraded they i7 chip model from when I got mine over January and they reverted back to the old prices.
the two industry leaders are Dell XPS and Asus Zenbook. The XPS 13 seems to be the best.
PLMKO's advise is sound.
Have a look at this:

I'll say XPS 13 as well. $1,299 gets you Full HD screen on 13.3inch, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD. Upgrading the SSD to a larger size later seems to be quite doable, and it takes normal size mSATA drives.
I like the samsung series 9 laptops. I don't believe that they are strictly ultrabooks but I like them more in that size.
Get yourself a Sony Vaio S 13 inch and max it out from the US. It's only 200 grams over the Ultrabook spec but you get a DVD/blu-ray drive, GPU and the ability to swap RAM and HDD yourself. You can also use the external slate battery and push the battery life to 8hrs.
I got it with 1600X900, i7, 12gb ram, 750gb HDD and carbon fiber for under $1300AUD.
I reckon Ultrabooks pretty much compromise on everything just to make it as light as possible.
