Build quality is really poor ..bought 3 cable(pack of 3 )
All of them gone shit in a week .
    I won't recommend

    • What does "gone shit" mean? Did they just stop working or did they physically fall apart? Hopefully these are a different model. If the ones you got were so bad and there were a few complaints, (and some warranty claims), hopefully they sourced from a different place. They have a 12 month warranty (which probably means little).

      • I got some from another site, pulled the cable out of the computer by holding the plug… The casing came loose, exposing the bare wires, they were still stuck in the computer.

I don't think I'll be buying the cheap cables again anytime soon.

        • Are all the clone cables coming from the same factory? I expect that there are a few different ones and Kogan are big enough and should be at least smart enough that they don't send out complete crap with a 12 month warranty.

Of course, maybe they're not that smart. I guess I will find out.

    • Just wondering what you are doing to your cables? Sounds like you have an iPhone 5 so you would have received a cable with your phone. Looks like you received one through this deal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87268#comment-1145079 and now you say you purchased a triple pack through Kogan. Sounds like you are the cable monster ( like the Cookie Monster except you eat cables not cookies)

      • I just got an iPhone 5 today, and I need FOUR cables.
        a) home
        b) car
        c) work
        d) spare (going away / travel)

Sounds like you are the cable monster ( like the Cookie Monster except you eat cables not cookies)

How can you get by with only one cable… do you carry it around in your pocket?

        • I think you misunderstood. I think llama is referring to wrecking so many cable, not just having so many cables.

tip for anyone buying non-original iphone cable. stay away!!!! they most of the time dont charge the phone. you'll keep getting messages on the phone when plugging in "accessory not compatible with this phone".
endless problems. never again for me

I second this, be careful. That said, I bought one for $5 from that clickship deal like 4 or 5 months ago and it seems to work fine.

Actually I'm not really too fussed if I receive a faulty cable. After all it is only $2 and it's covered by a 12 month warranty. It would be a good way to test Kogan's customer service and warranty before I go ahead and buy something more expensive from Kogan like an iPad.

after sales Services are quite bad.

Guess it depends on how much time you have on your hand and whether all those time worth $2 or not ;)

Lol I'm sure some people here would probably waste hours of time for $2

      welcome to Ozbargain

This deal pretty much wastes $2…
so fellow ozbargainers - don't do it!
save those $2 for something else that will work in a week and won't snap off and will be recognised by your phone.

  • Will it still work if I transfer over 6GB per month? :P

    • Probably better than your gag….

  • Mine broke already. hahah. Lets see how customer service handles it.

  • Mine stopped working although physically it is still pretty much in its original condition.. Will see how they deal with the warranty too

    • I'm still waiting for my refund 2 weeks later. Poor customer service. Had to open a paypal dispute.

      • That's why I'd thought this would be a good test case. This sort of feedback puts me off from making any sort of major purchase from Kogan.

        • Yeah i never got my refund in the end. Paypal found against my favour. No reason given. Anyways it was only $2 but won't be buying from kogan again.

        • That's poor form from both Kogan and Paypal.
