Everyday Rewards preference to Frequent Flyer Points

Hi guys,
I have just signed up to qantas' frequent flyer program. I don't fly or anything and don't really do a lot of grocery shopping over $30 at all. Do you think it's worth me transferring the fuel docket to flyer points or to keep it as the dockets…which one is more worth it?
Thanks!

  • Leave them as fuel dockets and save cash. Then you can use the money you saved on flights rather than trying to get flights via the FF program.

  • Saving cash is always better IMHO

  • Thanks guys!

  • I didn't realise there was an option to "transfer" dockets to points. My EDR card auto transfers points accumulated to QFF points. It also gives me fuel dockets…. I get emailed specials for bonus points or docks - this week it's spend over a certain amount for a 25c docket. I also expect to get points for that purchase?

  • Well there you go…
"And if you’ve got fuel vouchers you’d rather redeem as Qantas Frequent Flyer points, you can swap a 4c per litre voucher for 2 points per litre instead"

  • I have all mine sent to FF Points. I also fly a fair bit for work. I save up all the points and once a year I get a leave pass from the Mrs and I use them to go on an overseas ski holiday with 2 mates. This year we went to Japan!! I also saved up the hotel reward points and had a couple of nights in Tokyo for free on the way back. The key to reward schemes I reckon is to stick to 1 or 2. If I swapped around I would never get enough points for anything useful. If all you get are the grocery points, stick with the above advice and get cheaper fuel.
