It's probably easiest to come up with a list of best LCD monitors to buy, ordered by screen size. Maybe also in 2 categories — value and performance.
In that case, consumers like me don't even need to know all the knowledges — we just pick the ones that everyone else recommends :)

What would you recommend as a selection of LCD;s to buy if I required: The best sharpness, colour representation and picture quality. I do not care about speed or ghosting.
