  • I don't understand why this is getting positives…unless it's for the free delivery.

Just visit your local Good Guys, HN, etc and you can get a decent fridge plus a 16gb ipod nano for way less than these Mitsubishi fridges.

  • Can you get it cheaper at Good Guys, HN, etc. Stix?

Good Guys had a great sale on where the Stainless Steel version was cheaper than the standard white.
If I remember the Mitsubishi MR-385U-ST-A Top Mount was UNDER $1000 from Good Guys.
The problem is that Good Guys charge $45 or $55 to deliver.
Big Brown Box charges you $0.

It then comes down to whether you want/need a 16GB iPod.

Personally, I would never buy an appliance without seeing it first hand.
So I guess you have some bargaining power when you go visit your local retailer.

  • LOL - I was looking at white fridges initially but even for stainless steel for example, you can get a 410L Whirlpool stainless steel for $999…before haggling! The Mitsubishi price equivalent is $1299 (albeit 10L more) - not sure what the Mitsubishi fridges are like though…they might be the ultimate in fridges! Personally, I don't think it's a bargain.

  • All fridge prices have gone up about 10% in recent days so I really doubt you can still get a 410l Whirlpool stainless for $999 or less.

+1, good deal on the Mitsubishi.

    • I saw the price in the latest Good Guys catalogue.

First page to come up in Google offers Whrilpool 410l for $925… Sure this Mitzy offer is a bargain….. BUT there are alot better ones out there than this one….. Just because it offers a free Ipod (which you can actually get a new one for $239 on ebay)does not mean that it is a great option…. For me I'll steer clear of a brand that I'm more used to seeing make cars….and pens.

    • whoops

  • I think voting negative when comparing different brands (especially since you aren't aware where they sit relative to each other) is bad form.
There are a lot more to fridges than the number of litres and the finish.

    • Mitsubishi 5 year warranty FTW.

  • Just because the deal doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean its not a bargain. If you're intending to buy one of these fridges you get an ipod as opposed to not getting anything at all - sounds like a good deal.

    • Good points guys - I stand corrected! :D If I could change my vote, I would…sorry.

  • anyone know how good the mitsubishi fridges are? I can't find many reviews on the Internet… 5 year warranty either means they're bulletproof and Mitsubishi has lots of confidence in them hence the long warranty, or that they're crappy and thus need a 5 year warranty otherwise consumers would complain :)
