If you guys want a big feed, go to Pyrmont Bridge Hotel on Thursday and if you can finish the 1KG steak with chips you'll get your $20 bucks back.

  im sure i can finish it aslong i dont eat much the day before and dont eat anything or drink anything on the day. always wanted to try something like this but wish it didnt come with chips. is there alot of chips? $20 is great for 1kg steak even if i fail :) im sure my dog would love if i fail

    Yeah I tried it, it's do-able :) but they pack on the chips.

This has been going for years, quite good value, though you often end up having a few beers so the value is not quite so great. Keep in mind you have to buy at least one drink with the meal.

If you are in the area, try http://www.buenavistahotel.com.au/ - they do a cook your own steak/chicken, plus access to the salad bar for $7 on Sunday to Thursday nights (it does not seem to be advertised on the website at the moment).
