I haven't had any problems with Seagate, Toshiba is similarly priced with 3yr warranty, don't know how hard it is to claim it.

  I claimed warranty on seagate HDD at IT Estate, and it was really easy. They just tested the drive doesn't spin up and gave me a new drive.
