the 55" 3d led looks good.
I got the 55" 3D for $699 + delivery deal.
The only thing that irks me is turning on the 3D function requires lots of menu clicking, too much for my harmony universal remote to accept in one sequence. Can't seem to find a discrete ir code either. Bah. Lucky that 3D mode is a novelty and seldomly used. Otherwise happy with the picture quality. You'll be needing to add your own speakers. Oh another thing, I only use 1 of the HDMI inputs and get my av receiver to do the switching - again no discrete ir codes for jumping to a specific input mode irks me…. I said good picture though, right? And now they are trying to flog it for $899 with "free shipping".
Almost tempted to neg this deal.
Actually……..
THE KOGAN EMAIL SPECIFICALLY SHOWS A 55" TV THAT IS $200 DEARER THAN JANUARY 2013!
THIS IS NEG WORTHY!
The vibe I get about Kogan TV's is that you can do a lot better for the money by going with brand names.
I have a couple of Kogans. When I was looking, Kogan was $800 and the others were $1400-$2000, so it was a no brainer. Now it looks like the 50" Kogans are $700 and the others are $900-$1200. I would think about paying the extra.
For example Kogan 3D 55" $899, Samsung's have been found under $1200.
Saving a $30 delivery fee should not be a major deciding factor in choosing a Kogan (unless you are looking the cheaper, smaller versions for your caravan).
The 50" 3D is great for the price however it's a risk, QA is a lot lower than brand names and RMA is going to add to the cost (e.g. shipping)
I'm looking for a 32" Full HD with 3D so I will wait for a $300 super special on one of these I think
I was under the assumption that if you get a store to deliver it to you, should it break down, its their responsibility (and cost) to pick it up again.
But the shifty stores say when they got the product back there was nothing wrong with it, and then try to charge you postage.
Correct.

"If faulty goods have to be returned to the place where they were bought, it is reasonable for the
seller to pay appropriate freight costs."http://help.kogan.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/161/49/if-m…
"Kogan will cover all freight costs if your product needs to be repaired under warranty."
I just bought a Kogan 22" LED HD TV (with built-in DVD) for the caravan - $174 with free delivery. However, because I added a $17 12 volt cable I was charged $13.95 for delivery - something that would fit easily in the TV box. Deleted the cable - will get it later.
The worst thing about Kogan TVs is their very poor sound output. In the caravan I'll either be watching the TV with headphones or running it through the AUX connection on the caravan Radio/CD player. Also, you don't need to use PayPal to get the free delivery.
I think this free shipping deal is best with these low cost caravan TVs, and I think Kogan's with the built in DVD players are as good as the others on the market. (Hard to find affordable high end brands with built in players)
Imo the savings of a no name brand from kogan isn't worth it, especially if you have issues they seem to have terrible after sale service.
