What are the Telstra Uno and Ascent Y100 cheap phones like. Do they have a short life span and easy to use with basic smart phone technology. I basically wants to get one just for phone calls, sms and internet browsing. Will these do the job like the expensive top of the range ones?
Sorry, I meant the Huawei Ascend y201.
My daughter has one, and while she would like an iphone, the Ascend does everything she needs in terms of web access, email, kick and vibr and other apps.
I think the screen could be a bit bigger, and there isn't that much internal memory, but hey, it was $50 (well, $79 when I bought it).Im selling a motorola flipout for $50 its unlocked and comes witha 2gb memory card.
These are good starter phones.
From my experience, since they are smaller, you have to speak louder in order for the other party to hear you.
There was a Telstra Uno at Coles 2 weeks ago for $49, and a few weeks before that the Ascend y100 was $49.
The $30 price point is still feature phones, I think.
