This part of Amazon's 'versus' campaign where people vote for which game they'd like cheap for a week - I voted X-COM and so did a squillion other people and they've dropped the price by 67% to $16.49 USD. The usual things apply (ie fake US Address) and for best value a 28 Degrees Mastercard. I think the sale lasts till Sunday.

    I wish I could stick to a rule like that. But I seem to have incredibly weak willpower when it comes to buying games. Seriously though this game is amazing and totally worth the $16.49. Heck, it's still worth the $35 I paid for it months ago.

    just read a few reviews, doesnt seem as good as the origions seems to be a few issues with AI and game play… think its enough to keep me from breaking my rule… great deal though… still sounds like an awesome game based on the metacritic reviews!

      TB wasn't a fun of the bugs.

      When I played a mate's copy I had a bug where I couldn't go up a set of stairs, so I went downstairs instead and an alien spawned on the top stairs, jumped down, shot all my exposed squadmembers through a window, and killed 2 in a single turn.

      With that being said… still a good bargain. I'd strongly consider picking it up at this price if it weren't for the never settle deal getting me bioshock infinite (and x-com as an extension of that for pre-ordering). I was here looking at the deal for a mate who may enjoy the game.

  Damn, US only. Any instructions on setting up a fake account? Can I use an Australian Credit Card with such an account?

    Far as i'm aware from reading all the posts about buying from US. Just link an American address to your account for delivery, such as a hotel or something. Because it's digital delivery, nothing actually get's delivered to you and all it does is use the address to verify you are from the states.

    Edit: Just bought it, used the Seacoast inn in Hyannis MA as a new address. Worked with my Australian credit card and instant delivery with cd-key which i assume is steamable but i'm at work so i'll add it once i'm home. Happy buying.

    just sign up for a mail forwarding account and use the address there.. thats legit… that way if anything does ever get shipped you'll know about it.
