What about Dairy free?
Everything except the porridge, Shortbread, Noodles is dairy free.
After becoming gluten intolerant recently I'm temporarily lactose intolerant as well for an unknown amount of time.
The wraps are very similar to the wraps at Woolworths in that they will break very very easily.
Also I recommend the Chocolate Blitz biscuits, lactose/gluten free.
Also don't forget the gluten free pasta, I think its a new permanent item in the pasta section.
Check the FODMAP diet, helps with everything and can reset your system (won't fix you, just make you feel way better).
I've had FODMAP recommended to me but didn't really take much notice.
I'll give it another look, thanks :)
Thanks for the heads up! Can go and stock up on goodies :)
I just picked up some gluten free muesli bars, honey & cinnamon pancake mix and brownie mix! I'm happy to see more gluten free alternatives coming onto the market that aren't horrendously expensive!
Be aware that the gluten free muesli bars contain wheat, I wasn't aware it could contain wheat but still be gluten free.
I didn't buy them because I'm unsure if gluten is my problem specifically or if its wheat.
I didn't realise, so ill check it out. To be honest I'm not allergic, but myself and my partner prefer to eat gluten free alternatives where possible. I'm not going to go on a rant but I think people eat too much wheat without realising.
If the item labelled as wheat ends in -ose then it is very low gluten and therefore safe for coeliacs to eat.
The manufacturers must label all wheat barley rye and oats products even if they are safe. So remember if it ends in OSE then it is ok eg glucose made from wheat.Very low gluten is not safe for coeliacs, it depends on the individuals condition. The only level of gluten truly safe for a coeliac sufferer is none !!
I found this post by accident after eating a "gluten Free Aldi muesli bar and getting a pain in the guts only to find out they have sugar derived from wheat. Very disappointing Aldi.
If your sensitive STAY AWAY !!!!! its not Gluten Free.
There are plenty of great gluten free products at Aldi this week.
