Sennheiser HD600 $319+SHIPPING ~ $19 to Syd from Kogan

41

Hey all first time post.

These are pretty amazing headphones for the price especially since sennheiser started forcing retailers to only offer RRP.

Little detail on the product,
Some of the most highly regarded phones especially in their price range. Their big brothers the 650 are equally highly regarded and alot of people actually prefer the slightly more neutral tone of the 600's.
amping is not quite as important with these bad boys as with 650's but don't expect much coming out of your Iphone.

get em quick cause I'm posting this on head-fi.org and they'll be gone in a minuite also check there for some reviews.

Enjoy

      • I bought headphones from Crazysales, they have a huge range and very good pricing, JVC headphones came in sealed packaging but as with many in ear headphones they stopped working in one side, called crazysales and they offered a replacement or money back, got a replacement

Big NEG on this deal :-P

This deal isnt crazysales, can you read?
          My eyes are bleeding.

        • Wow, really? Can you?

        • +4

@thedude23 Thats the point. Crazysales in his opinion is a better deal.

        • +1

And you would trust crazysales who undercut all the competetion over kogan?

      • +2

crazysales are pretty good. Bought some headphones before and they were legit although shipping took 12 days after payment.

    • +1

crazysales are on this list of counterfeit sellers of Monster/Beats audio gear.

      So is kogan

      http://www.monstercable.com/counterfeit/dealers_blk.asp

      • so is

hp.com, OO, cotd and other reputable sites.

They even had JBHiFi.com.au listed as being a counterfeit store early last year.

I believe the reason why they are listed as such is due to the fact that they are not authorised resellers of Beats.

        • haha i wouldnt call cotd reputable.. but yeah all non-auth beats retailers are listed as counterfeit.. just another dodgy way beats does business

  • razor dog audio doing them for $300USD with coupon code apparently, even though it is supposed to be excluded (from the head-fi deals thread).

don't know about shippping (not interested in this headphone myself)…someone might like to do a dummy order to see how it compares.

    edit: ^victorious, even better!

    • razordogs shipping to aus is pretty steep usually around the $70-80 mark

  • Last time the gold plug came off from my Sennheiser's headphone in less than 4 weeks uses.' It was a grey import from a website (after read it from ozbargain). It was a third cheaper than shop but Sennheiser's distributor in Chatswood wouldn't fix it.The importer was friendlybutivecan't provide service either. No more Sennheiser for me.

Last time the gold plug came off from my Sennheiser's headphone in less than 4 weeks uses.

      Easily fixable.

      No more Sennheiser for me.

Cost: Money for new plug at jaycar ($2.50 from jaycar) + soldering iron + solder.

Happens to all the headphones I have regardless of brand (except for ATH-M50 since it uses a MASSIVE plug + large thick cord)

      • +3

I have 3 pairs of sennheisers, none have had busted cords. I look after mine though.

@ eatwell265 - on behalf of sennheiser: You will be sorely missed! Farewell!

        • Lol.

Yeah what these 2 guys said, ditching a $213 (he said 1/3rd cheaper) pair of headphones because of a $2.50 plug failure sounds pretty stupid to me. Maybe they were not taken good care of in general.

    • The importer was friendlybutivecan't provide service either.

You mean they wouldn't? Do you mind listing who they were….I find it pretty poor that they wouldn't take responsibility of it unless it wasn't new stock or something.

    • It was probably a fake sennheiser.

I have 3 sennheiser and 2 AKG headphones for the last 7 years and none of the jacks even look like coming apart. I use headphones every day and switch between them.

    • +1

      I'll buy them off you

  • I have this exact model from over 10 years ago! Can't believe the prices is very close to what I paid for it… well worth it IMHO, if you prefer "open air" sound stage.

    • Same here, except I paid GBP99 at the time from a major UK retailer (thankfully I paid in pounds - exchange rate was murder at the time!). Apart from the cushions needing replacing they work fine. Damn fine!

Far better than that 'beats' rubbish.

    • +1

Do note though that these are very light on the bass (it's natural sounding), so apples and oranges really. When I want some doof doof I plug in the CX400s, otherwise it's the HD600s.

  • They have Sennseiser RS 170 wireless headphones for only $239. Cheapest I have seen anywhere. My first Kogan purchase is coming.

A bit late to the party but eGlobal are doing them cheaper:

    http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/sennheiser-hd600-on-… (AU$247.00 + delivery).

Bought my HD650 from them. They are quite good actually.
