  • no idea if it is a great deal or not. But it made me interested in buying one of this. So 1UP!

  • No thanks, my laptop is always be cooler than my hands.

  • I have a rectangle shaped sweat rash on my lap. This could come in handy.

  • Wouldn't this make ventilation more difficult? You might not feel the heat on your lap, but it doesn't mean heat magically disappears. This might shorten the laptop's lifetime.

    • as bellow, it'd likely be a hard top which would make it similar to having the laptop on a desk. Also if it's on your lap chances are your legs could be blocking any ventilation anyway so you may not be worse of in any case.

  • I would assume the top surface would be a hard one, allowing the laptop fans to disperse heat easily.

  • This may be OK and the price seems competitive for this item
But my wife and I have a Stable Table each
    Hard top with cushion bottom
    Like this http://www.comfortdiscovered.com.au/catalog/product_info.php…
They are $20 odd from Kmart, Target etc
Not quite as stylish but functionally the same (ok it doesn have the tilt)
But it is half the price
Plus you can eat dinner on it

  • If your concern is getting a hot notebook off your lap, there are also some cheaper alternatives: laptube and lapramp.

Here is the site (unfortunately it still uses frames so I can't point you direct to the appropriate pages)
    http://www.lapramp.com.au/

Also sold at Officeworks it says. I've been using a lapramp for quite a while now, though to get the notebook off the desk. :)
