FYI these mp3 players have horrible battery life (2 hours?). You get what you pay for.

Still pretty good if the charging time isnt too long.

It takes about 45 mins to fully charge via a computer USB port.

If you use a charger that's meant for a tablet and charge at 2amps for example, it takes about a quarter of the time. I don't know if that's good for the battery though.

The battery also degrades very quickly, typical of a chinese quality lithium batt. After a month of use I pretty much tossed it out since the battery has exhausted its charge cycles.

you can get these for $2 on aliexpress.

    4 gb mem card $2-3

Very bad quality. Have to return mine. They know that you won't bother returning them as the postage costs more. No shuffle and when you stop playing, you will always start on the first file.

Don't waste your money on these. They are awful!!! I threw mine out the day I got it. You can find these on eBay for really cheap.

They weren't quite this cheap on eBay when I bought one a few months ago… but I absolutely agree that they are horrible units, and not worth it at any price.

Brought mine from eBay for around $6, build quality wasn't the best BUT when a MP3 player is $6 and that small you can't really expect it to be that good.
    My pros
    - Very small form factor (great for gym, walking/cycling - hated using my phone even though it had all the good features)
    - Battery life was great for me (mine gets me through a 30m drive in the morning & afternoon(hooked into car AUX), and an hour and a hour gym session), I used to get about 2 and a half hours out of it. I'm used to charging my devices daily so that wasn't a problem for me.
    - normal storage (so no third party programs to transfer music)
    - expandable memory

    Cons
    - Back/forward is not progressive fast forward/rewind eg. longer you hold the faster it fast forwards 2x, 4x, 8x 16x etc - so this is bad for podcasts as well as no LCD screen so you don't know what you're listening to - the podcasts I have, have the same intro for about a minute so that's annoying.
    - build quality isn't the best, the left button (back/rewind) broke after 6 months of using it 5 days a week)

I ended up buying a Sansa Clip Zip $55'ish which is probably double the size in thickness but provides all those extra features you want/need in a MP3, screen, battery life, progressive fast forward/rewind, shuffle, aftermarket firmware (Rockbox).

whats even more amazing is at the time of this post, 12 people like this deal. After all the comments made above….

  • Got one of these for my kid off ebay, the type that you put the sd card in. The battery is really bad, after 2 months of use he can only listen to about 7 songs before it needs charging again.

    • I remember when mp3 players were only 128mb big and you could only listen to seven songs anyway. You just had to be discerning and make those seven songs count.

      • Do you even 3megabyte mp3?

        • You just had to be discerning and make those seven songs count.

That was only if you were not savvy enough to transcode the music into a lower 128kb bitrate…

How is this a freaking deal. These are cheaper all over the place
    $3.75 on banggood + $4 for a 4gb sd card

    $2.58 on ebay

  • I got this from some other shop.

After about 2 charge cycles it suddenly stopped charging.
So its just sitting there dead now.
