cheap rca cables

  Cheap as Chips.. and other $2 shops.
  Dunno where to get them online.

  Try eBay and perhaps look for ones with gold plated connectors.
  You can get them from Jaycar or Altronics (budget versions should be under $10 a cable), whereas more expensive ones your looking at $30.
  For the better quality ones a little cheaper you could try eBay or oztion.

  Unfortunately they aren't cheap … so someones making a killing on these mass produced cables.
  The ones I just ordered were through a UK seller (eBay) and cost $8 each inc postage (gold plated connectors).

  I have NFI why these are sold on dealextreme or focalprice without the ridiclous markup.

    Only if connecting to gold-plated sockets evidently. See Motherboards.org:

    On the subject of gold plated contacts: They don't do any good unless they're interfaced with gold plated connectors. In fact, the mating of dissimilar metals is actually more prone to corrosion than if both connectors were tin plated (your typical silver colored connector.)
