First ever post after reading OzBargain for so long!

This is the newer updated Xbox 360 controller from Microsoft with the transforming D-pad (great for 2D fighting games) and includes the Play and Charge Kit. RRP is $99.95 as per http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/Xbox360/Accessories/Controllers/xb…

After researching, the cheapest I could get it for was $70 from JB Hifi after negotiating- they average for around $73-$75 at most stores according to http://www.myshopping.com.au/ZM--1214471105_Xbox_360_Genuine…

Given that it's not much more expensive than a regular wireless controller (cheapest around $40) and it includes a battery pack/charge cable, it's a decent deal. Note: Big W lists at $54.65 but you need to add $4 for shipping. The $10 coupon from a few days ago doesn't seem to work anymore.

    Is that the new style or original wireless controller? Hard to tell based on thumbnail photo (I'm on iPhone at the moment so can't zoom in).

      It's the original version. Only the silver controller has the new d-pad.

        Not really.There is a bunch of xbox controllers that have the new D-pad such as the MW3 LE,Gears of war 3 LE,Halo 4 LE,Tombrider LE and the chrome series blue,red and silver controllers.

        The Silver controller was the first xbox controller to introduce the new D-pad.

    any official Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows should work you can even get some Chinese knockoffs cheap on ebay that allegedly work. I'm using the official one though works excellently on win7 pro.
